ENGAGING NATURE creates joyful, hands-on experiences that awaken curiosity and delight in the living world around us, fostering deep connections that naturally lead to better health, ecological knowledge, and community resilience.

Connecting with nature in intimate, tangible ways is essential for both human wellbeing and planetary healing—and it starts with delight in discovering what's here now.

I want to spark your deeper connection to nature. I have studied why aspen leaves quake, prosecuted poachers and polluters in the Columbia River Gorge, zoomed through forests on a scooter while being pulled by dogs, foraged and eaten any number of delicious things, and guided hundreds of humans in experiencing Pacific tidepools, old growth forests, and plenty of wild places in between.

My background spans biology, environmental law, and decades as an interpretive naturalist—but what drives me is curiosity and a love of learning alongside others. Whether we're tasting an unfamiliar leaf or discovering why mushrooms grow where they do, I'm as excited as you are to see what we'll find.

Curious? Excellent. Let's go.

Mushroom maven. Nature Nerd. Wild-ish epicurean.
